This group was first thought to be a small study group about measurement theory and psychometrics for psychology folks. The creators of “Measuring Psychology” were inspired by a reading list from Jessica Kay Flake and Eiko Fried called “Measurement Matters Resource List”. You can have access to this list here. Hence, we thank you, Dr. Jessica and Dr. Eiko for doing this.
With help from quantitative folks advertising on twitter, a lot of people showed interest in participating in the study group. This is great, since it shows how we are all interested in improving our area of research. Thus, not only we created a study group, but we also started a community of people interested in those topics.
We communicate with the community in our slack group and will have online meetings to do our study group. Everyone is welcome to join both of them, as long as they follow our code of conduct.
